Once thought extinct, the Yellow Spotted Bell Frog was rediscovered in the Southern Tablelands. In 2018, Gunning District Landcare joined regional efforts to protect this critically endangered species.
Our work supported habitat surveys and monitoring across creeks and wetlands, helping conservationists identify key areas for frog recovery. The project strengthened regional knowledge and reinforced the importance of landscape-scale habitat care for vulnerable species.
