Dalton School Plantings (1997)

In 1997, students, teachers, and Landcare volunteers came together at Dalton Public School to plant native trees.

The project provided shade, improved habitat for local wildlife, and fostered a culture of environmental stewardship that continues today. Many of the original plantings still thrive, standing as a living reminder of what young hands and strong community spirit can achieve. A sign to honour the plantings was erected near the site.
